Prayer for today

Today’s Ponderment: God is ALWAYS on your side, but, until you get on His side, you might not recognize Him standing there.

Dear God, Thank you for today. I know that everything I am and everything I have is a result of what you have allowed in my life. Sometimes life is hard and, at other times, it is full of happiness. Either way, I know you are always there and your blessing is available…if only I will listen and obey. That is the key, listening and obeying. Please help me to recognize the gifts you send and the doors you open and give me the wisdom to see and do your will. Please use the spiritual gifts you have planted inside of me to work in and through me to minister to the world and draw people to you. In Jesus’ name I pray and give you praise. Amen and Ehmen.

And The Word of God Says…

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” –Joshua 1:9

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  Isaiah 41:10

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

Giving Up is Where Hope Begins

Giving up is Where Hope begins

My Prayer for Today…

You can either give up on a person or situation or you can give that person or situation up. It may sound the same, but it’s not at all. The first is to call it quits, call it hopeless. The latter is to lay it at God’s feet; to, fueled by faith, put it in the great Potter’s hands and let Him create a work of art and fill that work of art with hope. Lord, help me to lay these things at your feet, to give you the materials to work miracles in my life. I’m just so stubborn. Help me with that, please. Show me the way. Amen and Ehmen!

And God’s Own Word Says…

1 Peter 5:7New Living Translation (NLT)

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Matthew 11:28-29New International Version (NIV)

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
