Writer’s Note: Just for fun….sing to the tune of The Devil Went Down to Georgia…and feel free to add a verse or two! Have a happy and, hopefully, cool day!
The devil went down to Georgia, he was looking for a soul to grill.

Ok, this isn’t his year….but it sure feels like it’s THAT hot outside. Not a fan of southern summers!
He was in a bind ‘cos hell was too confined and he was willin’ to make a deal.
When he came across some Georgians fanning and and complanin’ it’s hot,
the devil jumped upon a hickory stump and said: “let me tell y’all what:
“I guess you didn’t know it, but I’m heat lover too.
“And if you’d care to take a dare, I’ll make a bet with you.
“Now you can say it’s way too hot, but give the devil his due:
“I bet a big ol’ ice cube against your soul, ‘cos I think I’m hotter than you.
The southerner said: “My name is Bubba and it might be a sin, But I’ll take your bet, your gonna regret, ‘cos I’m the hottest that’s ever been.”
Bubba you wipin’ off your brow and show how hot your are,
‘Cos hells broke loose in Georgia and the devil deals the cards.
And if you win, you get this big ol’ ice cube made of cold.
But if you lose, the devil gets your soul….
